Professional background

Experience inside and outside government.

Bruce joined Houston Magnani and Associates in November 2005, following service as a Legislative Advocate for the California Chamber of Commerce.

Earlier, Bruce served for six years as a Government Relations Specialist with the California Department of General Services, working across the Wilson, Davis and Schwarzenegger administrations. This experience gave him a valuable perspective on the workings of California state government.

In 2004, he was appointed as a business representative to the California Environmental Protection Agency's Advisory Committee on Environmental Justice.

His background encompasses environmental policy, transportation, government procurement, construction and labor issues.
